Some of the most famous actors or musicians are also great car enthusiasts. The Artcurial Motor auction held in Paris during the 2011 Retromobile provided new evidence.

The British actor Peter Ustinov (1921-2004) was a big fan of Maserati. The guitar legend Eric Clapton toured the Ferrari factory in January 2010, stating that occasion that "for a musician, the Ferrari engine sound like music". Also Nick Mason, the drummer of Pink Floyd, owns of one of the finest collections of European cars of all eras, and he also has five entries in the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1979 to 1984.

On the 4th of February Jay Kay, the voice of Jamiroquai, added a new jewel to his collection at Artcurial Retromobile: a superb Ferrari 250 GTE 2 +2 1962. The singer seems to have a predilection for black cars. The two gems of his collection: a Mercedes 600 limousine that belonged to Coco Chanel and a Ferrari Enzo are both black. The 250 GTE which he is now the proud owner has the distinction of being one of the few in that colour.
