RTL in the race with the 24 Hours of Le Mans

The no. 1 French radio station has been a partner of the Le Mans 24 Hours since 2014, and this year it will again broadcast from the circuit where the greatest motor car race in the world is taking place!

This year RTL is moving to Le Mans to record three of its flagship programmes in public.

Tuesday 9th June
RTL’s flagship programme ‘Les Grosses Têtes’ will be recorded in the Pathé cinema Le Mans Quinconces between 18h30 and 20h00. Laurent Ruquier will be the host surrounded by his ‘Grosses Tête’ of the day, Pierre Benichou, Caroline Diament, Chantal Ladesou, Christophe Beaugrand, Bernard Mabille and Steevy Boulay (from Le Mans).

The programme will be broadcast on Friday 12th June from 16h00 to 18h00 the day before the start of the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Saturday 13th June
The following programmes will go out live from the heart of the Le Mans circuit.
Vincent Perrot will broadcast Stop ou Encore from 10h10 to 11h30 live from the circuit just before the start. During the night Eric Jean Jean and Frédéric Veille will have rendezvous in the village from midnight to 04h30 to immerse listeners in the festive ambience of the race.

On Sunday 14th June Stop ou Encore will again be broadcast from 10h10 to 11h30.

On the sporting side the 2014 duo will be back to help listeners follow the 24 Hours. Frédéric Veille, the station’s special envoy, will be in charge of following the sporting side of the event with a first-class consultant, Henri Pescarolo, 4-time winner of the Le Mans 24 Hours and a member of the Drivers’ Hall of Fame. Thanks to news bulletins and flashes fans will be kept up to date on the unfolding of the race.

Throughout the week before the event RTL will broadcast subjects and reports on the Le Mans 24 Hours.
