The last car to go through scrutineering is the Morgan Evo for Sard Morand. Pierre Ragues will be at the wheel for his ninth Le Mans 24-Hour race. The French driver is also rally driving this season, in his own Citroen DS3 R5.

René Rast, already seen at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LM P2, will be with Audi, at the wheel of the R18 e-tron quattro n°9. The German manufacturer’s new recruit is aiming for victory! He has already tasted glory at the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 24 Hours of Nurburgring, so will he take Le Mans by surprise? Read the full interview. Still with Audi, French driver Loic Duval will be back at Le Mans, a year after his terrible accident in practice. He talks about his return in this interview (in French).

Rebellion Racing and the Sard Morand team bring the first day of scrutineering to a close! A Swiss touch to round off the afternoon, with Place de la République still bathed in sunshine.

The Nissan GT-R LM NISMOs leave Le Mans city centre. The livery of n°21 is a nod to the Nissan that took pole position at the 1990 24 Hours of Le Mans and is quite magnificent!

The Audi R18 e-tron quattros have now gone, along with the Porsches for Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing and Dempsey Proton Racing.

The first day of scrutineering will be over in an hour and a half, but tomorrow will be another busy day on Place de la République! Porsche, Aston Martin, Toyota, Corvette and Alpine will all be here. Come along, as the sun promises to shine again. The rumour has been going around for a while, but it is now official: French President François Hollande will be at the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2015. He will be joined by Le Mans-born Stéphane Le Foll, Minister of Agriculture, Agri-food and Forestry, Government Spokesman, and Bernard Cazeneuve, Interior Minister.

Tristan Gommendy, Ludovic Badey and Pierre Thiriet are here in Le Mans. This is the first time at the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the new Oreca 05 belonging to French team, Thiriet by TDS Racing. KCMG is also entering an Oreca 05. Both teams will be competing in LM P2.

As usual, the crowd went wild for Patrick Dempsey! A fantastic welcome here in Le Mans for Dempsey, who will be embarking on his fourth Le Mans 24-Hour race next Saturday! We can safely say that the actor-turned-racing driver is now a familiar figure here.

G-Drive Racing and its Ligier JS P2 are here for scrutineering! The two cars, built by Onroal Automotive, look dazzling under the Le Mans sunshine.

Gaetan Paletou, set to drive the Gibson 015S Nissan for Greaves Motorsport, discovers the 24 Hour of Le Mans! "I didn't even know that there was this event in town, that there was so much going on," admits the driver, immersed in the unique Le Mans atmosphere for the first time. The French driver, winner of the GT Academy competition organised by Nissan and Playstation, is making sure he takes it all in.

All the Audi drivers are now here in town. They are going through the various formalities right now. Their R18 e-tron quattros have also started the technical checks. Next up, the Porsche 991 RSR Abu-Dhabi Proton Racing and Dempsey Proton Racing.
