The two most famous 'Sebastians' in French motor sport have had success in two latitudes and two different disciplines: one in Endurance in China, another a rally in Wales.

On November 13, Sebastien Bourdais completed the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup in 2011 to 6 Hours of Zhuhai, with his third win in four races with the Peugeot 908. A shared success with British team-mate Anthony Davidson. Meanwhile, Sebastien Loeb won his eighth consecutive crown as World Champion in the WRC. He would probably have preferred to celebrate a victory, without his Citroen DS4 having had an accident on a liaison section. But his rival for the world title Miko Hirvonen also retured, so the damage was not so great,

Both Sebastiens also share a parallel history in endurance racing. Bourdais from La Sarthe and the Loeb from Alsace were were together in the team of Henri Pescarolo, who has always had unique flair for spotting talented French drivers, who have become the majority of big names in the discipline. Both have also finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans: Peugeot for Sebastien Bourdais in 2007, 2009 and 2011, and Sebastien Loeb in 2006 with Pescarolo Sport. In endurance, the future belongs to them. The first is probably one of the undisputed favourites of the WEC in 2012, the second will very soon launch Loeb Racing. And sooner or later, Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastien Loeb will be on the 24 Hours circuit again, to the delight of the French public ...
