Sebastien Bourdais, in addition to his program in the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup and the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Peugeot could, this season, also be racing single seaters in the USA.
For four seasons, he drove in Champ Car, winning four titles in a row (2004 to 2007) for Newman/Haas. A performance that allowed him to get a seat in Formula 1, but he could never truly show his talent, with Toro Rosso.
During the summer of 2009, Bourdais continued his brilliant career mainly in endurance racing. In the United States, his name remains a true benchmark of talent. So he went Monday at Sebring (Florida) to test a single-seater. IndyCar absorbed the defunct Champ Car in 2008 and it was an IndyCar (a Dallara chassis powered by a Honda engine) of the team Dale Coyne Racing that he tested.
Considered conclusive (53''5, the best time achieved since the start of the year) this may allow him to into a new season in the USA (where he will drive only on road courses, not on ovals) in nine races. In addition, Bourdais could also participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Intercontinental Le Mans Cup scheduled with Peugeot, whose exact program will be revealed this Thursday, 3rd February in Paris during the press conference of the French manufacturer.
