Having won the title in 2007, Ray Mallock's team have renewed their success this time with Lola-HPD.

The scoring in the Le Mans Series rewards constancy over performance. Although the HPD Watts-Kane-Leventis dominated the season, as evidenced by his overall victory at the Hungaroring 1000 km, they paid dearly for the retirement at the 1000 km of Spa and Portimao.

The Lola-HPD shared by Tommy Erdos and Mike Newton has not missed a beat, winning in the Algarve placed in other races. Helped start of the season by Andy Wallace, and later by Ben Collins, the pair have replayed their 2007 performance which saw them win titles Team and Drivers titles for RML.

After a difficult season in 2009 due to lack of engine reliability, RML has regained its usual performance thanks to the excellent Honda HPD as reliable as it is powerful. Mike Newton: "I think some people have tended to underestimate us. The team has made great progress since 2007. Reclaiming the title shows that with the right package, we're still here. "
