Six constructors in ILMC

Six manufacturers have formally committed to the Le Mans Intercontinental Cup which will begin in a week's time in England.

Two constructor's titles:

The ILMC will award a title in the categories LM P1 and LM P2.

There will be an air of revenge for Audi and Peugeot through this intercontinental journey. Under the banner of Audi Sport Team Joest, the manufacturer from Ingolstadt has entered two R15. For its part, also align Peugeot has two Peugeot Sport 908 HDi FAP.

This is a duel but rather a battle that will engage Porsche, Ferrari, BMW and Jaguar in the GT2 class.

Trophies for teams:

The ILMC will award 4 titles to teams who will also earn invitations to the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2011 in each of four categories.

This has been attractive enough to see Drayson Racing (Lola Coupe Judd) and Aston Martin Racing in LM P1.

In LM P2, the French Oak Racing (Pescarolo Judd) will cross swords with Mik Racing Lola (Lola Coupe Judd).

In GT1, the teams Labre Competition (Saleen), JLOC (Lamborghini), FX Atlas (Saleen) and Nova (Aston Martin) try to win the very last title before the retirement of the GT1 class.

Finally, in promoting a low-cost path, the ACO has offered Formula Le Mans, already present in the ALMS and LMS (14 cars), the chance to participate in the Chinese round of ILMC.

Silverstone, Petit Le Mans, Zhuhai ... an exceptional trio of venues:

Three major circuits on three different continents will decide the titles (Silverstone, Atlanta, Zhuhai).

The 1000 km of Silverstone will open the proceedings on the last date of LMS, the European round of the ILMC will be held on the 12th of September with no fewer than 47 entries.

The second round will be on the American continent and will be at Petit Le Mans (Road Atlanta - 2nd of October) the final race of the ALMS, and will have 48 cars at the start.

Finally to China for the Asian continent, with 1000 km of Zhuhai, on the 7th of November where 25 to 30 competitors are expected for the final race.
