Sixth edition of the Sarthe Endurance Photo Contest: and we're off!

Action on the track, in the paddock, Scrutineering, Drivers' Parade, refueling, atmosphere...your photos bear witness to more than the race itself, they represent the famous Spirit of Le Mans in comparison to the other seven races in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).

The judges panel - each year presided over by Henri Pescarolo, four-time winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans - composed namely of journalists and sports personalities, will choose the best shots in December, 2015.

The contest is organized by the county of La Sarthe, in partnership with the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, the magazine AutoHebdo, the French Sports Journalists Union, the Musée des 24 Heures - Circuit de la Sarthe and Le Maine Libre.

Two categories: Amateur & Professional

This free contest is open to amateur photographers and to professional photographers/journalists, each category has its own rankings.

Here's how to participate:

You can submit a maximum of three photos of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), of which the 24 Hours of Le Mans is a part, at the website www.endurancephotos.sarthe.com.

Format: Jpeg
Resolution: 1024 x 768 pixels maximum
Weight: 500 ko maximum

The prizes for the 25 winners - 20 amateur and 3 professional, a Judges Panel Prize (professional or amateur) and a People's Prize (amateur) :

- For pros: 3,000 €, 1,500 €, 500€
- For amateurs, judges panel prize and people's prize: 2015 24 Hours VIP spots, professional accreditation, helicopter ride, gift certificates for the 24 Hours store...

Winning photos will be on display from January to April, 2016 at the Musée des 24 Heures du Mans.
