Supported by KCMG Composites and Oreca-Store.com, the French driver will be at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta WRC, co-driven by Jacques-Julien Renucci. In tandem with his program at the highest echelon of endurance, Stéphane Sarrazin regularly makes appearances in rally, a discipline he particularly enjoys. Champion of France in 2004, the official Subaru driver for two seasons and winner of several national races in 2012, he made a stunning return last year, winning back-to-back the Critérium des Cévennes and the Tour of Corsica! Also, Sarrazin actively participates in the development of the Yaris WRC, Toyota's future weapon in the Rally World Championship.
Stéphane Sarrazin: "I am thriled to have the opportunity to get the adrenaline rush that comes with rally competition. The opportunity came up to race at the Rally del Casentino and the timing couldn't have been better. It's a race with which I am not yet familiar, so it will be an interesting experience. It's always enjoyable to discover new roads and after the videos I have been able to watch, the course seems nice. Even though I am rolling in tests, I will have to find my pace because after having won at the Cévennes and Corsica, we have one objective: to win another victory and succeed Robert Kubica! I thank KCMG thanks to whom we were able to finalize this project and I am happy to rejoin First Motorsport with whom we are used to doing good work."
Paul Ip (KCMG President, a team also victorious in the LM P2 class at the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans): "We are very happy to join Stéphane in this new program so as to promote our activities in the field of composites and we have one shared goal: to win!"
Nine special events will be on the program at the 35th edition of the Rally Internazionale del Casentino, a 100% asphalt race which will take place in the Tuscany region of Italy.
