Steve McQueen's adventure filming the movie "Le Mans" soon in comic book form

In the wake of the documentary "The Man and Le Mans" directed by Steve McQueen's son, in December stemming from an idea by Sandro Garbo, Swiss studio Garbo will publish a comic book inspired directly by the film.

Sando Garbo is a self-taught painter and fierce Porsche loyalist. When Steve McQueen came to him in a dream, the 3D and wood-painting expert decided to create a comic book. Given the scope of the task at hand, Garbo - who intends to be as faithful as possible to every minute detail - brought in other artists.

After three years of nonstop work, the "Steve McQueen in Le Mans" comic book will be released in three languages (French, English and German) in December, but fans of the Porsche 917 and Ferrari 512 can now reserve a copy at the website McQueenLeMans.com for $32. In addition to a 50% discount on posters created between now and the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans, one lucky drawing winner will be given a driving workshop at the wheel of a Porsche or a Ferrari.

Check out the comic book in the trailer of the story boards as top notch as an animated film!
