The 1960 and 2009 Le Mans Corvettes are still in good shape (video)

California-based property investor Bruce Meyer has an impressive collection of classic cars; cars that have written racing history. All his machines are in working order, including the Corvette C1 that competed at Le Mans in 1960 and the C6.R that won the GT1 class in 2009.

Bruce Meyer describes himself as a passionate amateur. The founding chairman of the Petersen automobile museum of Los Angeles takes pride in driving each one of the marvels he has collected in the last forty years all of which are on display at his garage in Beverly Hills.

In the video, Meyer explains the extent of technological progress between the launch of the Corvette C1 fielded by Briggs Cunningham at the 1960 Le Mans 24 Hours and that of the C6.R driven to victory by Johnny O’Connell, Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia in 2009.
