TEAM: IDEC SPORT
Car: Oreca 07-Gibson
Paul Lafarge (third participation)
Paul-Loup Chatin (fifth participation)
Memo Rojas (fourth participation)
IDEC Sport was competing in its third 24 Hours of Le Mans. The French team started from 12th on the grid, after Paul-Loup Chatin clocked a time of 3:26.011 in qualifying. During the race, IDEC Sport faced issues with its refuelling rig, which cost the team precious seconds on each refuelling stop. Forced to make do with the set-up, the team did all it could to avoid the tank running dry on track. To offset these issues, the drivers were forced to race at qualifying pace! Ultimately, the #48 Oreca 07-Gibson finished the race 19th overall and fifth in the LMP2 class. This was IDEC Sport’s best result so far at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
