The soaked track did not prevent Chinese driver Zhi Cong Li from moving ahead with the tweaking of the ADESS-03 that Ollie Millroy will race in the Asian Le Mans Series for the AAI Motorsports outfit who scored two invitations to the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year thanks to its results in the Asian championship last year.
At Le Mans, the outfit founded by Jun-San Chen entered two Porsche 911s in the LM GTE Am class with the assistance of Belgian team Prospeed Compétition. Though the two cars had to settle for sixth and eighth in the class, they did cross the finish line, a highly encouraging result given that five of the six drivers were racing at the 24 Hours circuit for the first time ever.
A next step will be taken in endurance with the arrival in LM P3 - a class put in place by the ACO with cost limitations to train young talent and gentlemen-drivers in endurance before they move up to the LM P2 class. The cars are eligible in the continental championships, but not in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) or the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with the exception of Test Day.
The first in-race test for the ADESS-03 will take place in Fuji, Japan on October 10th and 11th in the form of the opening round of the 2015/2016 season.
