Presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2010, the Jaguar concept car will be produced in collaboration with one of the most prestigious Formula 1 teams.

Jaguar will continues to develop the use of micro-turbines, as shown in the concept but the road-going Project C-X75 will instead use an internal combustion engine that is designed and built for the toughest test possible - the world of Formula One. Project C-X75 will also incorporate a battery Kinetic Energy Regeneration System (KERS), developed in Formula One and now adapted for production vehicles

The production car will have a top speed of over 300 km/h and 50 km of electric range. It will be a limited edition, produced in partnership with Williams F1. Besides its sixteen World Championship titles and 113 Grand Prix victories, the British team had also greatly contributed to the design of the BMW prototype that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1999 in the hands of Yannick Dalmas, Pierluigi Martini and Joachim Winkelhock .

Sixty years ago, in 1951, Jaguar also had its first Le Mans victory. Six others followed in 1965-55-56-57-88 and 90. In 2011, the prestigious British brand is celebrating another anniversary: the anniversary of the E-type, one of the marque's most famous cars. Since 2008, Jaguar, as with compatriot Land Rover, is owned by Indian industrialist Ratan Tata.
