With ten cars in LM GTE, Ferrari is the most numerous manufacturer in the new category.

GTE (standing for GT Endurance) is divided into two sub categories: GTE and GTE Pro Am, each dedicated, as the name suggests, tocars driven by professional (Pro), and those driven by gentlemen-drivers, with one professional per team (Am). Ferrari will probably be this year's Le Mans constructor that best reflects this new arrangement in the GT class, with two different models.

In LM GTE Pro, four teams will share the privilege of racing the competition version of the Ferrari 458 Italia at La Sarthe: AF Corse Racing and Luxury Racing, with two cars each, Hankook Team Farnbacher, second in the GT2 class last year, and JMW Motorsport, who return to Ferrari after running an Aston Martin in 2010. Double winner in GT2 in 2008 and 2009, the Ferrari F430 GT Le Mans is more numerous in LM GTE Am class, with three teams: Krohn Racing, CRS Racing JMB Racing and the AF Corse third car.

With six 458 Italia and four F430, Ferrari will face stiff competition in LM GTE from Porsche, Corvette, BMW, Aston Martin, Lotus and Ford.
