The return of TVR

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2003, 2004 and 2005, although TVR did not write their name in the history books, they are remembered as a touch exotica on the grid. Today, after months of silence, the constructor has confirmed the arrival of a new model.

Based on a Tuscan Roadster, and with a Corvette V8 developing 640hp, the MD-1 is bound to be lively. Under the leadership of the Russian owner Nikolai Smolenski, the annual production of 250 units could (provisionally) migrate to Germany or South Africa; something difficult to digest for the purists of TVR who are used to English production and in-house engines. In 2012, the MD-1 will break away from the troubled past of the company. The MD-2 and MD-3 will follow the next few years. As for redesigning a TVR Le Mans, it is still too early to think about it.
