The winning LM P2 ELMS teams at the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans

Five different teams won in 2014 throughout the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) season, and each one of them stood out at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LM P2 class.

Victorious in the ELMS, Signatech Alpine, Jota Sport, NewBlood by Morand Racing, Sébastien Loeb Racing (the top 4 in the final 2014 European Le Mans Series standings) and Thiriet by TDS Racing also dominated the LM P2 class in La Sarthe.

Signatech Alpine Philippe Sinault's team has accumulated wins since wearing Alpine's colours: in addition to the driver and team titles in the 2013 and 2014 ELMS, the Alpine-Nissan A450b claimed an LM P2 podium finish at the 2014 24 Hours of Le Mans with the third place finish of Nelson Panciatici, Paul-Loup Chatin and Oliver Webb.

Jota SportThe British team and its Zytek-Nissan were Signatech Alpine's toughest opponents in the ELMS. The fastest as well, with three pole positions in five races. After a suspenseful finale at Estoril, Jota Sport failed to surpass the French team in the overall standings. But Jota Sport did clinch a win as coveted (if not more so) in La Sarthe when Simon Dolan, Oliver Turvey and Harry Tincknell snatched the LM P2 class victory (and fifth place overall) at the end of the race.

NewBlood by Morand Racing Sixth in the LM P2 class at Le Mans, the Swiss were the fifth ELMS team ranked at the 24 Hours, with a second consecutive finish in La Sarthe in as many participations. It finished the ELMS season with a bang with a victory and a podium finish that earned it third place in the 2014 overall standings.

Sébastien Loeb Racing In 2014, the team of the nine-time World Rally Champion was given the number 24 to the envy of all 24 Hours competitors. It made good use of it in La Sarthe by finishing fourth in the LM P2 class, and holds the same position in the final 2014 ELMS standings after its first victory at the closing round at Estoril.

Thiriet by TDS Racing Its ELMS season began with a victory at Silverstone with the Morgan-Nissan, before Xavier Combet's men inherited one of the three new Ligier JS P2s which debuted at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Starting from the pole position in the LM P2 class, Ludovic Badey, Tristan Gommendy and Pierre Thiriet reached the second step on the podium after a great fighting finale with Jota Sport. The end of the season was unfortunately the most difficult, but Thiriet by TDS Racing remains one of the top teams in the ELMS.
