Ten minutes after the start of the session, there were anxious moments when a thick cloud of smoke began to rise from the #23 Zytek, at the side of the track at turn 15. The driver Máximo Cortés, had fortunately been removed from his seat when the flames engulfed the prototype. More fear than harm for the Spaniard, but his weekend in England, however, could be ended due to the damage caused in the incident
Later, a second incident - a minor one - involving the Formula Le Mans team Genoa Racing (#93), interrupted the proceedings again.
Before these two successive breaks, Franck Montagny set the best performance with a lap of 1'44 "879, improving a few milliseconds on the time from yesterday by Sebastien Bourdais.
The Greaves Motorsport Zytek and the Ferrari of JMW Motorsport were respectively fastest in LM P2 and GTE.
