Today's Photo Story - KCMG, first Hong Kong team to win Le Mans, in 2015

On December 19, 1984, by joint declaration the U.K. accepted the return of Hong Kong to China, which took place June 30, 1997. On June 14, 2015, KCMG became the first team from Hong Kong to clinch a class win in LM P2 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

In 2013, the KCMG team - named after a group specializing in motorsports created in 2007 by Paul Ip - became the first Chinese team to enter the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Despite a retirement, the following year the outfit competed full-time in the World Endurance Championship (WEC), then in 2015 claimed a stunning victory at Le Mans, a first as well for the Oreca 05, thanks to the trio Nicolas Lapierre, Richard Bradley and Matt Howson.
