Today's Photo Story - Romain Dumas wins with Porsche at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans

On January 5, 1825, Alexandre Dumas - author of "The Count of Monte Cristo" and "The Three Muskateers" - fought a duel for the first time ever. He emerged triumphant after, according to his recollection, losing his pants! On June 19, 2016, the Porsche 919 Hybrid driven by Romain Dumas won its duel with the Toyota TS050 Hybrid.

The 84th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans came down to a duel between Porsche and Toyota. Early in the race, the #1 Porsche and #6 Toyota took turns in first position, but as of Sunday morning, the #2 and #5 sister cars traded spots at the pit stop pace. Up until the next-to-last lap, the Japanese car all but had secured victory, but a sudden loss of power immobilized the car a few meters before the beginning its last lap, paving the way for its German rival and thrilling Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb and Neel Jani!
