Track debut of ARX-01e

The first LM P1 prototype Honda's history will make its racing debut on Saturday at the 12 Hours of Sebring, the first round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup.

While waiting to race the Peugeot 908 and Audi R15, the ARX-01e took its first laps at Sebring on Saturday. Marino Franchitti and David Brabham took the measure of an LM P1 developed from the LM P2 of Highcroft Racing team that took the ALMS title last year.

In its livery of raw carbon, the body designed by Wirth Research (Virgin Racing F1) appears significantly advanced, especially the headlights and front wing.

Today, the car will take to the track adorned with 'war-paint' including the signature image of Michelin Pilot Sport (see here). Brabham and Franchitti will be joined by Simon Pagenaud who finished 6th in the Rally of the Vienna this weekend.

Programme of the day (6 pm in France/ 5pm UK):
8:00 to 12:00: the first free practice session
1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: 2nd practice session
