Each class (Prototypes, LM PC, GT LM and GTD) had 15 minutes to qualify. In other words, one word of advice for drivers : push !
In this game, the Corvette DP showed itself to be the quickest, dominating the first four positions, thanks in part to Alex Gurney, who signed the fastest time (1'38"270) driving the No. 99 Gainsco Corvette DP. Although you have to go all the way down to 10th position to find the first LM P2, the Muscle Milk Pickett Racing Oreca Nissan, the DeltaWing had a good performance, qualifying in seventh.
In LM PC, Colin Braun, the youngest driver to reach the podium at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (second place in GT2 class in a Krohn Racing Ferrari in 2007), took pole position for CORE autosport (1’41"777).
In GT LM, Marc Goosens showed to be the quickest in the No. 91 SRT Motorsports Viper GTS-R while in GTD, the qualifying results were changed more than once. The No. 48 Paul Miller Racing Audi R8 LMS, in which Christopher Haase had the fastest time, was initially found to be non-conform following technical inspection, but officials reversed their decision to reinstate the Audi to pole position.
The start of the race will be given at 2:10pm (local time) on Saturday, January 25th.
