Two generations of Ford in the straight of the Circuit 24 Heures du Mans

Sunday will mark 50 years to the day that Ford won the first of its four consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. To commemorate the event, Ford brought together the legendary GT40 with its four cars entered in the 84th edition of the 24 Hours.

Between two storms, the Fords took over the Circuit des 24 Heures straight for a family photo. Three 1960s Ford GT40s reigned among the four Ford GTs which included the winner in its class at the beginning of May at Laguna Seca in California, site of the fourth round of the 2016 season of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the American endurance championship.

Ford dreams of adding a new victory to its record next Sunday to celebrate on a grand scale the 50th anniversary of its first win, even though this time it would have to settle for a class victory.
