With the sale last April of the very last of the 450 Veyrons produced, Bugatti embarked on a new supercar design project: a virtual racing car for the console game Gran Turismo. Without erring on the side of nostalgia, the Vision, presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show bears some resemblance to the Bugatti Type 57G Tank that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1937.
The Vision succeeds the Veyron, the iconic tribute to Pierre Veyron, who won Le Mans in 1939. The new car may be virtual, yet its designers approached the project as they would a real racing car, applying FIA and ACO safety rules, for example. See the result for yourselves!
