
Antonio Garcia began his career in 1988 at the age of eight. Three years later he was crowned champion of Spain in the cadet class. In 1994 after six years in karting he became world champion in the junior class. At seventeen he made the transition to Formula Renault, where he soon accumulated some great victories. But the young Spaniard also wanted to try GT racing. In 2000, he took the wheel of a Porsche GT3 RSR with which he won the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. In 2002, he did some testing with the Minardi Formula 1 team, but unfortunately that did not happen for him. Antonio Garcia continued his brilliant career. In 2006, he discovered the Le Mans Series and participates in its first 24 Hours of Le Mans. Therefore, it will never leave joinded the world of endurance racing. Discovered in 2009 by the Corvette Racing team, he became a mainstay of the marque. With seven appearances and three wins at Le Mans (2006, 2009 GT1, 2011 LM GTE Pro), he is a considerable asset to the American team, and no doubt will want to achieve victory over direct competitors such as Porsche and Aston Martin for example.
Only thirty-three years old and with a record worthy of the greatest champions, Antonio Garcia will participate this year in the 90th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans that will will take place on the 22nd and 23rd June.
