Among the fifty six competitors entered in the 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 22 and 23, more than a third will be engaged in theLM P2 class. For the HVM Status GP team, Canada will be represented.

In addition to the colour and fluidity of its lines, it is efficient. Present during the test day of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the car recorded a time of 3'46'' 446. This excellent result, puts it among contenders for victory in the class.
The Lola has changed significantly compared to last year's model. Its high downforce allows it to perform extremely fast speeds through corners. This is by far, the most essential asset for approaching the Indianapolis corner or Porsche curves. Also its load balancing gives the driver the possibility of later braking, a useful addition compared to its other rivals in the class. However, despite a speed of 297 km/h on the Mulsanne straight and towards Indianapolis, its significant drag loses the car a few precious seconds.
Finally, and as with all private cars, it has a number of disadvantages. When changing drivers for example, the narrow space limits movement and is more complicated. Similarly, with limited visibility in the rain, the windscreen can be made dirty very quickly. But everything has been studied in detail, and air conditioning in the cars is set so that the indoor temperature is between five and ten degrees above the outside temperature.
No doubt, the Lola B12/80 Judd Coupe No. 30 is ready to go in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The first appointment is on Wednesday night in the first timed session, in a LM P2 field of record size, only a few hours before the start of the legendary event on Saturday.
