The red and silver Porsches adorned with a lizard head, although absent this year preferring to focus on the ALMS, they have been a regular sight on the legendary circuit of the Le Mans 24 Hours. The team based in Sonoma (California) took the ALMS team title in 2008 and 2009, and GT drivers titles in 2008, 2009 and 2010. After victories at Sebring, Lime Rock and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, they jointly lead the GTC team points table with Alex Job Racing in the 2013 ALMS.

For Nelson Canache Jr was a great victory: "It was a great race for me from the beginning, taking the class lead on the first lap and working to build that lead throughout my stint. The setup was great and my job was to manage the traffic and take care of the car so that I could hand it over to Spencer in the best possible position and condition. Spencer did a great job during his time in the car and the last yellow did hurt us. However, it's great to be tied for the championship points lead and we are starting the second half of the season in good shape and with strong momentum."

Next Sunday the Flying Lizard team will be at Road America Wisconsin USA.
