It is thirty-five years since Alpine had won a victory in endurance racing, but now it's done. In challenging weather conditions, Pierre Ragues and Nelson Panciatici won by over 38 seconds in the race from the Irish team of Murphy Prototypes' ORECA Nissan 03 (who were on pole) and in third place was the Zytek Nissan of Jota Sport driven by Simon Dolan and Oliver Turvey. In the GTE class the Proton Porsche 997 GT3 RSR won the category (driven by Klaus Bachler, Christien Reid and Nick Tandy), while in GTC, the SMP Racing Ferrari 458 Italia's finished first and second. In LM PC the FLM ORECA of Paul Loup Chatin and Gary Hirsch were successful.
