WEC - A first look at the Nürburgring round in Germany

The action started on Friday, July 22nd at the Nürburgring circuit in Germany, scene of the fourth round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC). Porsche clocked the best time of the two free practice sessions.

The German manufacturer, winner at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans, dominated the first free practice sessions, but the other LM P1s weren't far behind and are within the same second. This morning, at the last free practice, once again the #1 Porsche driven by world champions Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley was the fastest.

It's looking promising for qualifying which takes place this afternoon at 2:15 p.m. for the LM GTEs and at 2:45 p.m. for the LM Ps, local times.
