Strakka Racing is about to begin its fourth season in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in the LM P2 class. After having started 2015 with the No. 42 Dome S103-Nissan, the team then changed cars as of the 6 Hours of N
For 2016, the British team's ambition is compete at the top level with the same car. It can count on a trio of drivers unchanged since 2010 to try and achieve the goal. It was in fact in 2010 that Danny Watts, Nick Leventis and Jonny Kane obtained their best result at Le Mans by winning in the LM P2 class (fifth overall) with an HPD ARX-01c. So far, Strakka Racing has competed in the 24 Hours six times.
In this video, join Jonny Kane inside the No. 42 Gibson 015S-Nissan and do a lap of the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet where the official World Endurance Championship (WEC) tests known as the Prologue took place. The British driver clocked the second best time in the LM P2 class.
Now, Strakka Racing will head to a place it knows well, the Silverstone circuit (U.K.) for the first WEC round on April 17th...a race at home for the team.
