The 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026) will feature several teams who are set to compete in the legendary race for the first time. Here‘s the lowdown on four rookie outfits.

<h2>Genesis Magma Racing</h2>

Spectators attending the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans will get a first chance to see how the <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/genesis-takes-the-wraps-of-its-gmr-001-hypercar-59196" target="_blank">Genesis GMR-001-Hypercar</a> copes with the famous circuit in La Sarthe. The Korean manufacturer will take on Alpine, Aston Martin, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Peugeot and Toyota in the Hypercar class. After a year devoted to the car&rsquo;s development and to putting together a top-grade team, Genesis will get down to the real business on 28 March when the FIA World Endurance Championship raises the curtain on the 2026 season with the Qatar 1812&nbsp;Km.

Two Genesis GMR-001-Hypercars will be on the grid. The #17 will be driven by Andr&eacute; Lotterer, Luis Felipe Derani&nbsp;and&nbsp;Mathys Jaubert. Meanwhile, Mathieu Jaminet, Paul-Loup Chatin&nbsp;and&nbsp;Daniel Juncadella&nbsp;will share the wheel of the #19 sister car.

A few months ago,&nbsp;Cyril Abiteboul,&nbsp;Genesis Magma Racing Team Principal and President of Hyundai Motorsport, gave us an update on the Korean hypercar&rsquo;s development.&nbsp;&ldquo;It&#39;s been a positive, busy and constructive year in which we have not only delivered a great looking sportscar but also built a racing team and established a team base that will be crucial in preparing ourselves over the winter,&rdquo; he said.&nbsp;&ldquo;From shakedown onwards, it was a succession of tests with clear plans and targets, and an action plan between each session. It&#39;s been busy, but it&#39;s been very structured.&rdquo;

Before the car is homologated, Genesis Magma Racing will conduct several more test sessions as there will be limited scope for alterations from that point. The GMR-001-Hypercar&rsquo;s engine has already racked up over 8,000 kilometres in testing. &ldquo;Our target for the start of the year is for us to have both a car and team &ndash; including the drivers &ndash; that are reliable and make no mistakes, with the focus on completing the race,&rdquo; Abiteboul continued. &ldquo;If we can do that, then it will be about building competitiveness.&rdquo;

With its special lighting signature and the sound of its V8, the Genesis GMR-001-Hypercar could well become a Le Mans crowd favourite.

<h2>RD Limited</h2>

After a promising Asian Le Mans Series campaign with one win and five podiums, RD Limited will compete in the team&rsquo;s first 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMP2 class. Romain Dumas &ndash; a Le Mans winner in 2010 with Audi and in 2016 with Porsche &ndash; is the man behind the project.

The #48 Oreca 07-Gibson will take on 18 other LMP2 prototypes in a category where every team has a chance. RD Limited can bank on the experienced Dumas (23 starts) to avoid the pitfalls that lie in wait at the French endurance classic.

<h2>Garage 59</h2>

This British outfit will represent McLaren in the LMGT3 class throughout the FIA WEC season, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans. They take over from United Autosports who are now focused on the Woking-based firm&rsquo;s Hypercar programme. Garage 59 will run the programme alongside their entry in the GT World Challenge Europe in which they have been the most successful McLaren GT3 stable over the last decade.

The #10 McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo will be driven by Antares Au, GT class winner in the 2024-2025 Asian Le Mans Series, Thomas Fleming and McLaren works driver Marvin Kirchh&ouml;fer. Team owner Alexander West, former Akkodis ASP Team driver Finn Gehrsitz, and McLaren works driver Benjamin Goethe will share the wheel of the #58 car.

A huge challenge awaits Garage 59, but the British team is well armed with bags of experience of GT3 and the McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo.&nbsp; At the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans, neither of the McLarens entered by United Autosports saw the chequered flag. The Anglo-American team finished the season 11th and 12th in the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 Teams standings.

<h2>13 Autosport</h2>

13 Autosport is the new name of Canadian outfit AWA Racing who compete in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. Last year, the team ran a Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R at&nbsp;the 24 Hours of Le Mans (P10 in the LMGT3 class). Despite the name change, the line-up for 2026 remains the same: Orey Fidani, Lars Kern and Matthew Bell. Fidani earned an invitation to the French endurance classic by winning the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship&rsquo;s Bob Akin Award presented&nbsp;to the season&rsquo;s best Bronze driver in the GTD class. &nbsp;

A d&eacute;but appearance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans is always a key landmark in the life of a racing team. Beyond the sporting aspect, it elevates the team to another dimension. Genesis Magma Racing in Hypercar, RD Limited in LMP2, and Garage 59 and 13 Autosport in LMGT3 are all gearing up to clear a significant hurdle in their development.

2026 24 Hours of Le Mans – New teams braced to make history

Iron Lynx has unveiled its cars’ liveries for the 2026 FIA World World Endurance Championship, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 10-14 June. The Italian team has adopted a new visual identity for the Mercedes-AMG LMGT3s.

Both the Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG LMGT3s entered for the FIA WEC sport a new style this season. 
The cars will be distinguishable by their colour: the #61 driven by Martin Berry, Rui Andrade and Maxime Martin is black, and the #79 in the hands of Johannes Zelger, Matteo Cressoni and Lin Hodenius is blue.

Both liveries will be seen on track during the FIA WEC official prologue on 22-23 March in Qatar, ahead of the 2026 Qatar 1812 km on 28 March.

Iron Lynx finished last season in 13th and 18th place in the LMGT3 class of the FIA Endurance Trophy. A host of other big-name manufacturers are fielding entries in the class: Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, McLaren and Porsche. 
A third Mercedes-AMG is entered for the 24 Hours of Le Mans under the Team Qatar by Iron Lynx banner. Abdulla Al-Khelaifi, Julian Hanses and Giuliano Alesi will take the wheel of the latter.

Iron Lynx unveils the Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 liveries

Two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Romain Dumas is to take part in the 94th edition of the world’s greatest endurance race with his own team, RD Limited.

The entry list for the 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026), round 4 of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship includes 19 cars in the LMP2 class. The car entered by RD Limited is sure to attract particular attention. The team is headed by Romain Dumas, winner of the French endurance classic in 2010 with Audi and in 2016 with Porsche. Having taken part in the Dakar rally and Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, not to mention the Asian Le Mans Series, RD Limited is ready to take on the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

<h2>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s fabulous!&rdquo;</h2>

Romain Dumas has competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans an impressive 23 times. The 24th time will be particularly special as he will be playing both driver and team manager roles. &quot;My very first memory of Le Mans, when I was a kid, was the Alm&eacute;ras team, running their own outfit with the Porsche 962,&rdquo; he explains. &ldquo;Later on, after my victory in the Volant Elf, when I arrived at Le Mans, I often spent time in the Elf development facilities just to see Pescarolo&rsquo;s car, which he was driving himself at the time. I always kept this idea in the back of my mind: one day, bringing my own team to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Today, that team has taken on the Dakar, Pikes Peak, World Championship rallies&hellip; and now, it&rsquo;s heading to Le Mans. It&rsquo;s fabulous.&quot;

RD Limited is not a beginner in endurance or LMP2. The team has competed in the last two Asian Le Mans Series, winning race 1 at the 4 Hours of Sepang in 2024/25, followed by two second and three third places since.

The list of 186 drivers to take part in this year&rsquo;s 24 Hours of Le Mans is not yet complete, however, it has already been announced that Romain Dumas will be teamed with American Fred Poordad. When he is not at the wheel, Dr Poordad is a world-renowned expert in the field of liver research.

2026 24 Hours of Le Mans – Romain Dumas: “It was always at the back of my mind”

With the list of 62 cars invited to compete in the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026) now published, some of the leading teams are beginning to reveal their hopes and ambitions for the race. From Cadillac, who have their sights set on outright victory, to regular LMP2 and LMGT3 frontrunners who expect 2026 to be their year, the French endurance classic is already shaping up to be a thrilling occasion!

<h2>Cadillac aiming for victory</h2>

No fewer than three Cadillacs will be on the grid this June. The two V-Series.Rs entered by Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA will be joined by a third fielded by Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing. The American manufacturer will have its sights set on <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/dieter-gass-cadillac-hertz-team-jota-we-re-out-to-win-60139" target="_blank">overall victory</a>&nbsp;with a V-Series.R that will benefit from an <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/cadillac-improves-v-series-r-hypercar-aero-for-2026-60108" target="_blank">upgraded aero package</a>.

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA received an automatic invitation for the #12 and #38 V-Series.Rs by virtue of their full-season commitment to the FIA World Endurance Championship. JOTA Sport are embarking on their second Hypercar campaign as the Cadillac works team. The drivers will be Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, S&eacute;bastien Bourdais, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens. The #101 Cadillac V-Series.R entered by Wayne Taylor Racing will take part in its second 24 Hours of Le Mans and will be driven by Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque.

General Motors will feature strongly in the 94th running of the French endurance classic as, in addition to these three Cadillacs, four Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs will be on the track. &ldquo;General Motors has the broadest and most diverse motorsports presence of any automaker in the world,&rdquo; claims General Motors president Mark Reuss. &ldquo;Fielding seven cars at Le Mans reflects not only our competitive ambition, but our relentless drive to advance endurance, innovation and performance on a global stage.&rdquo;

<h2>Tenth consecutive participation for IDEC Sport</h2>

LMP2 outfit IDEC Sport will be on the 24 Hours of Le Mans grid for the tenth year in a row. The #28 Oreca 07-Gibson will be driven by Paul Lafargue and Job van Uitert. With Paul-Loup Chatin moving up to Hypercar with Genesis Magma Racing, the identity of the third driver will be revealed shortly.

Patrice Lafargue, President of IDEC Sport, says: &ldquo;I would like to thank the ACO for considering us once again and including us in the most beautiful peloton in the world. It is always magical to see the team&rsquo;s name on the entry list for this legendary race. Le Mans is legendary. This is our tenth participation and we still feel the same sense of wonder as we did when we first took part. I know that the drivers and staff will give their all, as they always do. We have had some great moments at Le Mans, as well as some big disappointments. But I already know that we will make sure that this 94th edition ends in the best possible way.&rdquo;

Team Principal Nicolas Minassian adds: &ldquo;With Paul (Lafargue) and Job (Van Uitert), we can count on a high-performing duo who know each other very well and have experience at Le Mans. The LMP2 category is very competitive. It&rsquo;s up to us to do what we do best and remain humble in the face of the formidable challenge that this circuit represents.&rdquo;

Last year, IDEC Sport were forced to retire after losing a wheel that resulted in a crash.

LMP2 stalwarts United Autosports will field two Oreca 07-Gibsons this year. Following in the footsteps of IDEC Sport, 2026 will see the team&rsquo;s tenth consecutive appearance!

A third class victory after the 2020 and 2024 wins will obviously be the aim. &ldquo;We are delighted to be back at motorsport&rsquo;s most iconic race,&rdquo; says United Autosports CEO Richard Dean. &ldquo;Getting the nod from the ACO is excellent news and more significant than ever. Taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans just once is a feat in itself, but this will be our tenth appearance &ndash; a huge success for the team. It was essential to guarantee our entries this year with a view to 2027 with the McLaren Hypercar. Preparing the 24 Hours is a real team effort and we are well under way!&rdquo;

The #22 Oreca will be driven by Daniel Schneider, Oliver Jarvis and Ben Hanley. It was with this number that United Autosports secured its Le Mans wins. Mikkel Jensen, Rasmus Lindh and Gr&eacute;goire Saucy will share the wheel of the #222 car. Jensen, announced in January as <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/mclaren-racing-announces-its-first-hypercar-driver-60219" target="_blank">the first driver on the McLaren Hypercar programme</a>, says: &ldquo;(I&#39;m) very excited to be doing Le Mans in the LMP2 with United Autosports this year. I did my Le Mans debut in 2020 in a LMP2 and the Oreca 07 is a pleasure to drive around the famous circuit. I can&rsquo;t wait to take on the challenge with my co-drivers, for the biggest race of the year. Nothing beats Le Mans, both on and off the track!&rdquo;

<h2>TF Sport&rsquo;s four-pronged attack</h2>

British outfit TF Sport will field four cars: three in the LMGT3 class and one LMP2. 
The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/tf-sports-corvette-z06-gt3-r-liveries-60295" target="_blank">two Corvette Z06 GT3.R</a>s,&nbsp;full-season FIA WEC entries in 2026, will be gunning for another great result at Le Mans. The #33 Corvette will be driven by Ben Keating, Jonny Edgar and Nicky Catsburg while Peter Dempsey, Salih Yolu&ccedil; and Charlie Eastwood will share the wheel of the #34, fielded under the Racing Team Turkey by TF banner.

These two cars will not be the only Corvettes entered by TF Sport. Their 2025 European Le Mans Series title rewarded the team with an invitation to enter a third Z06 GT3.R. This car, #2, will see the key members of Johor Motorsport Racing join forces with TF Sport&rsquo;s technical staff. Prince Jefri Ibrahim, Afiq Ikhwan and Ben Green will take turns at the wheel.

AO by TF will undoubtedly be looking to repeat its 2025 LMP2 Pro/Am win and scoop a third successive podium in the LMP2 class. The #199 Oreca 07-Gibson will be driven by PJ Hyett, Louis Del&eacute;traz and Dane Cameron. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s fantastic to be able to head back to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the same programme and drivers that we won the race with in 2025,&rdquo; says AO Racing Team Principal Gunnar Jeannette. &ldquo;PJ, Dane, and Louis are all very eager to see if they can make it two in a row!&rdquo;

A new era for Signatech Alpine. The Alpine A450, which made three outings at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, is stepping down to be replaced by the A460, a car whose name continues the series begun in the 1970s with the A440 and echoes Alpine&rsquo;s 60th anniversary celebrations. 
	 
	Both cars will be competing in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) and at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (18-19 June) this year. 
	Car&nbsp;#36 will sport the Signatech-Alpine name with Nicolas Lapierre (LM P2 class winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans last year), Gustavo Menezes and St&eacute;phane Richelmi at the wheel. 
	Car&nbsp;#35 will race under the name of Baxi DC Racing Alpine, and Nelson Panciatici (European Le Mans Series champion in 2013 and 2014), David Cheng and Ho-Pin Tung will take turns in the cockpit.
