In the cockpit of the two prototypes:
Toyota TS 050 Hybrid #5: Sébastien Buemi (SUI), Anthony Davidson (GBR), Kazuki Nakajima (JAP)
Toyota TS 050 Hybrid #6: Stéphane Sarrazin (FRA), Mike Conway (GBR), Kamui Kobayashi (JAP)
Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi is the only new recruit to the squad but he knows the team well, having previously served as a Toyota Gazoo Racing reserve driver. He replaces Alexander Wurz who retired from racing at the end of the 2015 season. We will still see Wurz at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (18 and 19 June) this year, where he’ll be acting as Grand Marshal.
We are now all awaiting to see the Toyota in action at Le Mans and racetracks across the world. In the meantime, take a look at this video for a glimpse of things to come.
