Everyone knows the winner at the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans loves rally, and is one of the most brilliant experts on the Porsche 911. He proved it once again with this win in the FIA R-GT Cup (25th overall), with the best time in each of the 21 Rally Germany specials! Among the - many - spectators, Dumas was able to count on support from his friend Timo Bernhard, with whom he set a new distance record at their shared win at the 2010 24 Hours. For the occasion, the French driver's 911 GT3 RS boasted special decorations: "I was happy to have this unique livery made up of Porsche decorations that have marked my career. It was a nice nod and I think people liked it. It is wonderful to see so many fans of the Porsche marque and GT overall, it shows the interest level in the R-GT class."
Two and half months after the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Dumas will reunite with the No. 18 Porsche 919 Hybrid he shares with Neel Jani and Marc Lieb for the 6 Hours of Nürburgring, the fourth round of the World Endurance Championship. Last year the trio won the 919 Hybrid's first victory at the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo and is currently in the fourth spot in the provisional driver standings, 23 points from the leaders Marcel Fässler-André Lotterer-Benoît Tréluyer (No. 7 Audi R18). "I am really looking forward to getting back in the 919 Hybrid after a long break, says the French driver. After the difficult race we had at Le Mans with balance problems, the 18's crew definitely intends to achieve good results like the ones we got back in the beginning of the season."
