WEC – Changes to the first row on the starting grid at the 6 Hours of Fuji!

Though the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid had clocked the fastest time today during qualifying for the 6 Hours of Fuji, the car will now start from the back of the pack in LMP1!

With a time of 1:23.437, Kamui Kobayashi and José María López secured the pole at the 6 Hours of Fuji qualifying today at the wheel of the #7 Toyota TS050 Hybrid. However, the Argentine driver was observed exceeding the speed limit in pit lane during the session so his lap times were voided. López and Mike Conway will now have to start last in the LMP1 class.

As a result, the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid shared by Fernando Alonso, Kazuki Nakajima and Sébastien Buemi will start from the pole tomorrow at 11:00 local time, their third pole position of the 2018-2019 Super Season.

Next to the #8 Toyota on the starting grid is Rebellion Racing's #1 Rebellion R13-Gibson driven by André Lotterer, Bruno Senna and Neel Jani, with the #3 sister car of Mathias Beche, Thomas Laurent and Gustavo Menezes now in third position.
