The American driver who was Johannes van Overbeek's teammate in the American Le Mans Series, will rejoin his former teammate, as well as Ed Brown - the owner of the spirits marque that sponsors Extreme Speed Motorsports. The Danish driver, 2014 winner of the LM GTE Am Drivers Trophy in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Aston Martin Racing, will join Scott Sharp and Ryan Dalziel, victorious in the LM P2 class in Le Mans in 2012.
The following year, Heinemeier-Hansson also claimed a podium finish in the LM P2 class for his second participation in La Sarthe as he finished second along with Olivier Pla and Alex Brundle at the wheel of OAK Racing's Morgan-Nissan. During that time, Jon Fogarty raced in Gainsco outfit's Daytona Prototype, first in the Grand Am Series, then in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship, the entire 2014 season of which Extreme Speed Motorsports competed in, with the exception of Petit Le Mans.
In addition to the FIA WEC, the American outfit will participate in the North American Endurance Cup, a mini-championship within the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship which includes the four big American endurance races. As a result, the Florida-based outfit's off-season will be cut short, with a season kickoff from January 9-11 for the official tests of the 24 Hours of Daytona. Meanwhile, the six drivers will spend time at a circuit between now and the end of the year for a private test session.
