WEC - Highlights of the 6 Hours of Mexico (video)

Mexico’s first World Endurance Championship race, the 6 hours of Mexico, was a resounding success. Porsche won the day, making three in a row.

Since Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb and Neel Jani took victory at Le Mans in the #2 Porsche, the team has gone from strength to strength. The #1 drivers Mark Webber, Brendon Hartley and Timo Bernhard found their form at Nürburgring and were the winning crew in Mexico too. The reigning world champions had been down on their luck, but it seems the tables are turning.

In LM P2, the home team RGR Sport by Morand was victorious, with Bruno Senna, Ricardo Gonzales and Filipe Albuquerque at the wheel of the #43 Ligier JS P2. Darren Turner and Richie Stanaway streaked ahead in the LMGTE Pro class with the #97 Aston Martin Vantage while Abu Dhabi-Proton Racing took the trophy in LMGTE Am with the #88 Porsche 911 RSR.
