WEC - Presentation of the Austin round (video)

The cars had barely crossed the finish line last Saturday when the teams started getting ready for the next round. The sixth World Endurance Championship (WEC) race will take place on September 17th at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, and 33 cars are expected.

Porsche just clinched its third consecutive win after the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Nürburgring. In Mexico, it was no easy task. The winning driver line-up comprised of Mark Webber, Timo Bernhard and Brendon Hartley in the #1 Porsche 919 Hybrid had to contend with the competition, numerous incidents and ever-changing weather conditions. What will happen in the U.S.? Let's not forget the same driver line-up won the upcoming American round last year!

The fight in LM P2 will be one to watch between main players Signatech Alpine's #36 Alpine A460 and RGR Sport by Morand's #43 Ligier JS P2.

Per usual, the battles in LM GTE will be fierce between the Ferraris, Porsches, Aston Martins, Fords and Corvette.

This round will take place Saturday, September 17th at the Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas.

In the meantime, here's a little taste of what's to come…
