WEC Sao Paulo – Emerson Fittipaldi, the big return (video)

First Brazilian Formula 1 World Champion, Emerson Fittipaldi is getting ready to take the start of the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo. A race at home which marks his return to competition and which he talks about in this video.

The presence of Emerson Fittipaldi, who will be 68 on December 12th is also an event: it is indeed the first time the former Formula 1 World Champion (two titles in 1972 and 1974, 14 wins between 1970 and 1975) will take the start of an FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) race. The Brazilian will be at the wheel of one of AF Corse's Ferrari 458 Italias (No. 61, LM GTE Am class). In this video, he gives the mike to his teammates Alessandro Pier Guidi ("Emerson was one of my heroes when I was young") and Jeff Segal ("it is an incredible experience to see my name on the car next to Fittipaldi's and to see our helmets side by side on the shelf").

The start of the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo, eighth and final round of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), will be given Sunday, November 30th at 3:00 p.m. in the U.K. (1:00 local time).
