WEC - The Porsche 919 Hybrid tests at Monza

Porsche, the manufacturer who holds the record for 24 Hours of Le Mans victories, will make its official return to the endurance world in 2014 with the 919 Hybrid prototype, tested recently by Timo Bernhard (who won in 2010 with Audi at Le Mans) on the track at Monza, a suburb of Milan.

The German manufacturer knows the whole world is awaiting the 919 like the messiah and is therefore leaving nothing to chance, increasing private test sessions with six selected drivers:  besides Timo Bernhard (who appears in the video below), Romain Dumas, Mark Webber, Marc Lieb, Neel Jani, and Brendon Hartley will start the 6 Hours of Silverstone, first round of the 2014 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC).  What remains to be known is the crew distribution between the two cars that will take part in the Championship and 24 Hours of Le Mans.  (Ticket information).
