WEC - Three days of testing in Barcelona for the Porsche 919 winner at Le Mans

Porsche posted a tweet to inform fans and the media that three days of testing had been conducted in Barcelona with the 919 Hybrid - including the one that won at the 83rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans - as preparation for the rest of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season.

The three drivers called to Spain - Brendon Hartley, Mark Webber and Neel Jani, the man who beat the lap record at the 24 Hours circuit in its current configuration in June (3:16:887) - drove nearly 2,000 kilometers with the high downforce aerodynamics set-up that will be installed for the 6 Hours of Nürburgring, fourth round of the championship which will take place August 30th.

Also, according to Fritz Enzinger, head of the LM P1 project, 80% of the bodywork is new, but Porsche did not post any photos and specified that no images would be released. We will have to wait until the last weekend in August to get a look at the latest version of the Porsche 919 Hybrid that won at Le Mans with a trio (Nico Hülkenberg, Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy) that is not competing in the championship.
