Tom Kristensen, nine-time winner at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, will wave the green flag on Saturday to kick off the 6 Hours of the Circuit of The Americas, fifth round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC).
The Dane knows the place well, having already left his mark on Austin, Texas. Indeed, he won along with Allan McNish and Loïc Duval in 2013, at the World Endurance Championship's (WEC) first visit to the Circuit of The Americas, in his Audi R18 e-tron. That same year, he was crowned world champion with three victories: Silverstone, the 24 Hours of Le Mans (his final win) and Austin!
Tom Kristensen will give the start of the race at 5:00 p.m. local time (11:00 p.m. in the U.K.).
