Larbre Comp
Larbre Compétition is a well-known figure of endurance circles, having raced Le Mans 24 Hours no less than 22 times, starting in 1993. Last year’s withdrawal was the exception rather than the rule as the team headed by Jack Leconte has had its fair share of success over the years.
The team based in Vigeant, France has four Le Mans wins to its name, the last of which was with the Corvette C6.R in 2012. One of their most boast-worthy successes is undoubtedly 2010, when they topped the LM GT1 class with the reputedly unreliable Saleen S7R beating some competitive constructors.
This is a team with absolutely nothing to prove. They have won the Le Mans Series, the FIA GT, the FFSA GT, the ILMC (former world championship) and the WEC. Yet Leconte remains driven by passion - an enthusiasm he shares with Hugo Ripert, founder of Spark, a company that makes model cars.
The two have joined forces to launch a competition with first prize a model Corvette C7.R signed by Leconte. To enter, just visit the Larbre Compétition Facebook page, add a like to the photo of the car and in the comments box state why you deserve to win, in French or English.
Waste no time! Closing date is 2pm Paris time on Friday 15 January.
