Everyone was eagerly awaiting the first outing of Proton Competition’s new Ford Mustang GT3s in the LMGT3 class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This début performance was rewarded with a podium finish plus fourth place in its class.

The German team intends to field two Ford Mustang GT3s in the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship in the new LMGT3 category.

After a four-year preparatory phase, the well-known actor is set to make his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut with Proton Competition, teamed with Zacharie Robichon and Matt Campbell.

In recent years, Australian driver Matt Campbell has often won praise from Porsche and his teammates in the highly competitive LMGTE Am class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This year, he is expected to join forces with beloved German-born Irish actor Michael Fassbender.
