Twenty-four cars are set to line up in the LMGT3 category at the 93rd 24 Hours of Le Mans (11-15 June). Nine iconic marques — Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, McLaren, Mercedes-AMG and Porsche — will compete through private teams. Here is an overview of the 15 LMGT3 teams entered in the race.
The GT category at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) is based on the existing FIA GT3 platform. Cars built to GTE technical regulations were replaced last year. Only recognised manufacturers producing more than 2,500 vehicles per year for use on public roads are eligible for this category.
In 2025, nine major constructors are represented via private teams: Aston Martin, BMW, Corvette, Ferrari, Ford, Lexus, Mercedes-AMG, McLaren and Porsche.
Driver line-ups must include at least one Bronze driver and one Bronze or Silver driver.
#10 – Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 – Derek Deboer / Valentin Hasse-Clot / Eduardo Barrichello
This French team based in Haute-Savoie is lining up for its rookie start in the 24 Hours, taking over for Japanese team D’Station Racing (entered in the Le Mans classic and WEC for the last four years) as a team supported by Aston Martin Racing in LMGT3. Racing Spirit of Léman already clinched wins in LMP3 and GT3 in the 2022 and 2023 Le Mans Cup. Last year, the team participated in the European Le Mans Series with two podiums and third place in the final LMGT3 classification.
The Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 is entrusted to Derek Deboer/Valentin Hasse-Clot/Eduardo Barrichello (son of two-time F1 world vice-champion Rubens Barichello). Racing Spirit of Léman figures 14th in the FIA Endurance LMGT3 Teams trophy after earning points at the Qatar 1812 km and TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps.
#13 – Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R – Orey Fidani / Lars Kern / Matthew Bell
AWA Racing has been invited to take part in the 93rd 24 Hours thanks to the performances delivered by Orey Fidani, named the Bronze Best Driver and winner of the Bob Akin Award in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship last season. This Canadian team won the GTD category at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January and is hoping to capitalise on its Floridian success for its debut at the 24 Hours.
#21 – Ferrari 296 LMGT3 – François Heriau / Simon Mann / Alessio Rovera
#54 – Ferrari 296 LMGT3 – Thomas Flohr / Francesco Castellacci / Davide Rigon
Ferrari is once again putting its faith in AF Corse to run two 296 LMGT3s in the WEC and at Le Mans. Both cars are looking to win the category. The #21 already claimed the top step on the LMGT3 podium at the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. The #54 is shared by Thomas Flohr/Francesco Castellaci/Davide Rigon, a close-knit trio working together for three seasons. The #21 Ferrari is in second place in the FIA Endurance LMGT3 Team trophy and the #54 is in fifth.
#27 – Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMG – Ian James / Mattia Drudi / Zacharie Robichon
This is the second Aston Martin Vantage AMR LMGT3 supported by Aston Martin Racing. Ian James' team is also involved in the entry of two Valkyries in the Hypercar category. Heart of Racing is in revenge mode for its second participation in the 24 Hours. Last year, the team was forced to retire following a stunning incident at the Indianapolis corner. James has brought on two new teammates this year, Mattia Drudi and Zacharie Robichon previously with Proton Competition.
#31 – BMW M4 LMGT3 – Yasser Shahin / Timur Boguslavskiy / Augusto Farfus
#46 – BMW M4 LMGT3 – Ahmad Al Harthy / Valentino Rossi / Kelvin van der Linde
Team WRT is a top contender for a category win with the BMW M4 LMGT3. In 2024, the #31 clinched second place, but the #46 was forced to retire after Ahmad Al Harthy left the track. This season, the #31 reached the third step on the podium at the Qatar 1812 km and the #46 finished second at the 6 Hours of Imola. The latter will be driven by nine-time Grand Prix Moto World Champion Valentino Rossi making his second appearance in the 24 Hours. He draws a great deal of attention for good reason.
#33 – Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R – Ben Keating / Jonny Edgar / Daniel Juncadella
#81 – Corvette Z06 LMGT3.R – Tom Van Rompuy / Rui Andrade / Charlie Eastwood
This British team (LMGTE Am winner at the 2022 24 Hours) represents Corvette in the LMGT3 category. Last year, the two Z06 LMGT3.Rs finished 11th and 15th. The trio sharing the #81 is the same as last year, but Ben Keating has joined the driver line-up for the #33. At age 53, he is fastest among the amateur drivers. Keating won in LMGTE Am at the Centenary in 2023. In a category where the amateur driver often makes the difference, he is a killer asset teaming up with Jonny Edgar and Daniel Juncadella. The #33 Corvette won the Qatar 1812 km, is dominating the FIA Endurance LMGT3 Teams trophy and is considered a favourite to win in LMGT3.
#57 – Ferrari 296 LMGT3 – Takeshi Kimura / Daniel Serra / Casper Stevenson
This Swiss outfit has four participations in the 24 Hours to its credit. Its last appearance dates back to 2023 with two Ferrari 488 GTE Evos fielded in LMGTE Am. This year, the team is competing in the European Le Mans Series and figures fourth in LMGT3 thanks to a second place finish at the 4 Hours of Barcelona. Takeshi Kimura is joined by 2017 and 2019 LMGTE Pro winner Daniel Serra and Casper Stevenson who represented D’Station Racing in 2023.
#59 – McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo – James Cottingham / Grégoire Saucy / Sébastien Baud
#95 – McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo – Darren Leung / Sean Gelael / Marino Sato
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the McLaren F1 GTR's victory at Le Mans, and the constructor is back with the 720S LMGT3 Evo entrusted to United Autosports. Meanwhile, McLaren is also preparing to take on the Hypercar category in 2027. Last year, both LMGT3s were forced to retire, but the 2025 WEC season opener helped to ease the pain when the #59 finished second trailing the winner by just 0.4 seconds at the Qatar 1812 km. That performance allowed United Autosports to climb to the sixth spot in the FIA Endurance LMGT3 Teams trophy. The #59 McLaren is sporting a special livery highlighting the Meningitis Flag to raise awareness about a disease that is still too often misunderstood.
#60 – Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 – Claudio Schiavoni / Matteo Cressoni / Matteo Cairoli
#61 – Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 – Martin Berry / Lin Hodenius / Maxime Martin
#63 – Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 – Stephen Grove / Brenton Grove / Luca Stolz
Mercedes is also back at the 24 Hours of Le Mans! The German marque, absent since 1999, is counting on Italian team Iron Lynx to run three Mercedes-AMG LMGT3s. To give this return every chance at success, Mercedes did not hesitate to call upon factory drivers like Maxime Martin (nine participations). The livery of the three cars will pay tribute to the Sauber-Mercedes C9's overall win at the 1989 24 Hours.
#77 – Ford Mustang LMGT3 – Bernardo Sousa / Ben Tuck / Benjamin Barker
#88 – Ford Mustang LMGT3 – Stefano Gattuso / Giammarco Levorato / Dennis Olsen
Entered in competition in 2024, the Ford Mustang LMGT3 quickly made its mark, namely thanks to its 5.4-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine and muscle car design. At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Proton Competition reached the podium. Ford Performance and Multimatic took advantage of the winter break to optimise the Mustang GT3, resulting in a GTD Pro category win at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January. After three rounds in the WEC, Proton Competition is 10th and 11th in the FIA Endurance LMGT3 Teams trophy, the #88 ahead of the #77. Fans of the American carmaker and 24 Hours of Le Mans will no doubt have their eyes fixed on these two Mustangs with their distinctive roars and iconic colours.
#78 – Lexus RC F LMGT3 – Arnold Robin / Jack Hawksworth / Finn Gehrsitz
#87 – Lexus RC F LMGT3 – Petru Umbrarescu / José María López / Clemens Schmid
Jérôme Policand's team is heading into its second participation in the 24 Hours with the Lexus RC F LMGT3. Last year, both cars made it to the chequered flag with the #78 slipping into seventh place and the #87 into 10th in LMGT3. The experience gained in 2024 is allowing the team to approach the race with more confidence this time around, especially after finishing third and fourth at the 6 Hours of Imola. Akkodis ASP Team intends to continue the momentum at Le Mans. 2021 24 Hours winner (with Toyota) José María López will join forces at the wheel of the #87 with Petru Umbrarescu and Clemens Schmid.
#85 – Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 – Célia Martin / Rahel Frey / Michelle Gatting
The Iron Dames team is kicking off a new era under the expert banner of Manthey Racing. Replaced is the Lamborghini Huracán LMGT3 Evo 2 with which Sarah Bovy/Michelle Gatting/Rahel Frey finished fifth in LMGT3 last year with the Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3. Le Mans veterans Frey and Gatiting will share the #85 with Célia Martin. This all-female trio finished eighth at the 6 Hours of Imola and 10th at the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. After the Belgian round, Martin said: We will take a look at what we can improve in the coming days to be ready for Le Mans. I'm sure we'll make progress and learn a few things.
#90 – Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 – Antares Au / Loek Hartog / Klaus Bachler
#92 – Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 – Ryan Hardwick / Riccardo Pera / Richard Lietz
The #92 Porsche 911 GT3 R LMGT3 is the defending LMGT3 champion. A five-time category winner at Le Mans, Team Manthey is obviously a favourite contender, and last year's winner Richard Lietz is returning, as well as Antares Au and Klaus Bachler. The #92 won the 6 Hours of Imola in April and figures fourth in the FIA Endurance LMGT3 Teams trophy. The #90 earned its invitation after its GT victory in the 2024-2025 Asian Le Mans Series.
#150 – Ferrari 296 LMGT3 #150 – Custodio Toledo / Lilou Wadoux / Riccardo Agostini
The entry of this Ferrari 296 LMGT3 (supported technically by AF Corse) brings with it the return of Lilou Wadoux to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. She is set to team up with Custodio Toledo from the Ferrari Challenge and Riccardo Agostini. The car is competing in the European Le Mans Series, won the 4 Hours of Le Castellet and figures second in the overall LMGT3 classification behind Iron Dames.
Ferrari 296 LMGT3 #196 – Jonathan Hui / Christopher Froggatt / Edward Cheever
This British team owes its invitation to the 24 Hours to its win in the Bronze category of the 2024 GT World Challenge. The triumph served as an excellent springboard for more ambitious goals, namely competing at Le Mans. Chris Froggatt and Edward Cheever, last year's Challenge winners are back, joining forces with Hong Kong businessman Jonathan Hui.
