24 Hours of Le Mans - Blue skies for Test Day

How track conditions can change in the space of a month! On 4 May, the FIA World Endurance Championship round at Spa-Francorchamps was interrupted for snow, rain and hail. Less than a month later, not so far away, the temperature in Le Mans is 29°C and there is not a cloud in the sky.

Despite the snow, rain and hail episodes at the Total 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps on 4 May,  Fernando Alonso, Sébastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima drove the #8 Toyota TS050 Hybrid to victory. Jacky Ickx, who officiated as race starter admitted never having experienced such conditions at Spa during his glittering career.

Here's hoping that the weather will be as clement two weeks from now, for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the culmination of the 2018-2019 Super Season on the 13.626 km circuit, when Fernando Alonso, Sébastien Buemi and Kazuki Nakajima defend their title.
