24 Hours of Le Mans cars and drivers out in force at Goodwood (videos)

This past weekend in the U.K., the Goodwood Festival of Speed took place, a famous hill climb including many historic racing cars, and several drivers and cars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans were on the scene.

The legendary hill climb of the Goodwood Festival of Speed once again attracted thousands of spectators - no surprise given the caliber of the field! Among the numerous and magnificent cars present, several have competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans - some even in this year's edition - as shown in the tweet below showing a few winning cars (the Porsche 917 from 1971 driven by Helmut Marko and Gijs Van Lennep, the Audi R18 e-tron quattro from 2013 of Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Loïc Duval) as well as a McLaren F1 GTR Longtail. One of the two official Porsche LMP1-98s (1998 24 Hours of Le Mans, retirement) was also at the party as was the #97 Aston Martin Vantage winner at the 2017 24 Hours of Le Mans in the LMGTE Pro class, the Bentley Speed 8 victorious in 2003 (Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen, Guy Smith), a Ferrari 333 SP, an Audi R8 and so many more...

As for the cars fresh off their participations in the 85th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, two class winners made the trek: the #2 Porsche 919 Hybrid (LMP1) and the #38 Oreca 07-Gibson of Jackie Chan DC Racing (Oliver Jarvis, Thomas Laurent and Ho-Pin Tung).

In terms of the drivers - though the list is too long to mention them all - stars like Tom Kristensen (nine-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner), Derek Bell and Emmanuele Pirro (five victories), Allan McNish (three wins) and Timo Bernhard (two-time winner including 2017) participated. Some even took the wheel, such as Andy Priaulx, current official Ford driver in the World Endurance Championship (FIA WEC) and second in LMGTE Pro at this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Meanwhile all did not go as expected for everyone, as you can see in the video below by way of the car from the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans: the #83 Ferrari F458 driven by Emmanuel Collard, François Perrodo and Rui Aguas (second in the LMGTE Am class).
