The spirit of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary was on glorious display in the streets of Paris yesterday, passing emblematic spots throughout the capital. Here is a look at the historic event!
On Monday evening, five legendary cars from the 24 Hours of Le Mans as well as MissionH24's electric-hydrogen prototype paraded in the streets of Paris, visiting iconic places like the Place de la Concorde, Champs-Élysées, Grand Palais, Eiffel Tower and Paris Mint before returning to the Rétromobile show.
Renowned drivers like Centenary ambassador and nine-time winner Tom Kristensen, two-time winner Romain Dumas, first female official Ferrari driver Lilou Wadoux and Stéphane Richelmi took the wheel of these unforgettable racing cars.
The Centenary Trophy, designed by the Paris Mint, took a seat in the Chenard & Walcker driven by Tom Kristensen. The car won the very first running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1923.
In honour of the 24 Hours of Le Mans Centenary on 10-11 June, the 2023 Rétromobile in Paris dedicated several extraordinary exhibitions to the race.
