After the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the action on the track is ongoing!

Though the 24 Hours of Le Mans is the main event of the season, things don't slow down after June 19th for the Automobile Club de l'Ouest and the Bugatti circuit, quite the contrary.

Before the Le Mans Classic, the 8th edition of which will take place July 8-10, 2016, this Sunday the 26th of June the ACO celebrated the 110th anniversary of the first ACF Grand Prix in conjunction with the Comité de Sauvegarde du 1er GP de l’ACF 1906. Nearly 180 vintage vehicles (around 20 were built between 1886 and 1915), with two or four wheels, followed the configuration of the very first Le Mans race, predecessor to the 24 Hours of Le Mans, launched in 1923.

However, it's not a 1923 model but a fully modern car awaiting those who wish to take driving lessons at the Bugatti circuit. They started back up on Friday with a very special instructor by the name of Christophe Tinseau who participated in the 24 Hours last weekend in the Morgan of Frédéric Sausset who achieved his goal of becoming the first quad-amputee not only to take the start but also cross the finish line. The performance was acknowledged by some of the professional drivers such as Romain Dumas, one of the three winners with Porsche, and Loïc Duval, official Audi driver and winner in 2013.

Lastly, the Bugatti circuit will be abuzz next weekend on Saturday, July 2nd at 4:00 p.m. local time for the start of the 24 Heures Rollers. By teams of two to 12 individuals, or solo, competitors will race on the 4.185 km circuit. In 2012, no less than 6,000 people from 25 different countries participated in the race, and 10,000 walkers took part in the Randonnée Loisir.
