Dutch driver Nyck de Vries has once again demonstrated his speed at the wheel of G-Drive Racing's #26 Aurus 01-Gibson, placing the LMP2 prototype in pole position at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet. Intense battles are in store tomorrow after Team WRT (winner of the past two races) qualified in second position trailing by only two-tenths of a second with the #41 ORECA 07-Gibson. United Autosports #22 rounds out the top 3.

In the LMP3 class, DKR Engineering's #4 Duqueine M30-D08-Nissan clocked the fastest time thanks to Laurents Hörr who scored the Luxembourg team's second pole of the season after the 4 Hours of the Red Bull Ring. Teammate Jean-Philippe Dayrault: "Laurents knows the car very well. We're going to try and have a good race and avoid problems with other competitors." Team Virage's #20 Ligier JS P320-Nissan driven by Canadian driver Garett Grist nabbed the second spot, trailing by only three-tenths of a second, and GRAFF Racing's #8 Ligier JS P320-Nissan completed the top 3 in the class.
