The qualifying session of the 4 Hours of Imola (Italy), the second round of the 2016 European Le Mans Series, was very exciting, with the top 4 gathered in less than 5 thousands of a second in the LM P2 class. Two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Romain Dumas is to take part in the 94th edition of the world’s greatest endurance race with his own team, RD Limited.

The entry list for the 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026), round 4 of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship includes 19 cars in the LMP2 class. The car entered by RD Limited is sure to attract particular attention. The team is headed by Romain Dumas, winner of the French endurance classic in 2010 with Audi and in 2016 with Porsche. Having taken part in the Dakar rally and Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, not to mention the Asian Le Mans Series, RD Limited is ready to take on the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

<h2>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s fabulous!&rdquo;</h2>

Romain Dumas has competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans an impressive 23 times. The 24th time will be particularly special as he will be playing both driver and team manager roles. &quot;My very first memory of Le Mans, when I was a kid, was the Alm&eacute;ras team, running their own outfit with the Porsche 962,&rdquo; he explains. &ldquo;Later on, after my victory in the Volant Elf, when I arrived at Le Mans, I often spent time in the Elf development facilities just to see Pescarolo&rsquo;s car, which he was driving himself at the time. I always kept this idea in the back of my mind: one day, bringing my own team to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Today, that team has taken on the Dakar, Pikes Peak, World Championship rallies&hellip; and now, it&rsquo;s heading to Le Mans. It&rsquo;s fabulous.&quot;

RD Limited is not a beginner in endurance or LMP2. The team has competed in the last two Asian Le Mans Series, winning race 1 at the 4 Hours of Sepang in 2024/25, followed by two second and three third places since.

The list of 186 drivers to take part in this year&rsquo;s 24 Hours of Le Mans is not yet complete, however, it has already been announced that Romain Dumas will be teamed with American Fred Poordad. When he is not at the wheel, Dr Poordad is a world-renowned expert in the field of liver research.

2026 24 Hours of Le Mans – Romain Dumas: “It was always at the back of my mind”

With the list of 62 cars invited to compete in the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026) now published, some of the leading teams are beginning to reveal their hopes and ambitions for the race. From Cadillac, who have their sights set on outright victory, to regular LMP2 and LMGT3 frontrunners who expect 2026 to be their year, the French endurance classic is already shaping up to be a thrilling occasion!

<h2>Cadillac aiming for victory</h2>

No fewer than three Cadillacs will be on the grid this June. The two V-Series.Rs entered by Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA will be joined by a third fielded by Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing. The American manufacturer will have its sights set on <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/dieter-gass-cadillac-hertz-team-jota-we-re-out-to-win-60139" target="_blank">overall victory</a>&nbsp;with a V-Series.R that will benefit from an <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/cadillac-improves-v-series-r-hypercar-aero-for-2026-60108" target="_blank">upgraded aero package</a>.

Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA received an automatic invitation for the #12 and #38 V-Series.Rs by virtue of their full-season commitment to the FIA World Endurance Championship. JOTA Sport are embarking on their second Hypercar campaign as the Cadillac works team. The drivers will be Jack Aitken, Earl Bamber, S&eacute;bastien Bourdais, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato and Will Stevens. The #101 Cadillac V-Series.R entered by Wayne Taylor Racing will take part in its second 24 Hours of Le Mans and will be driven by Ricky Taylor, Jordan Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque.

General Motors will feature strongly in the 94th running of the French endurance classic as, in addition to these three Cadillacs, four Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.Rs will be on the track. &ldquo;General Motors has the broadest and most diverse motorsports presence of any automaker in the world,&rdquo; claims General Motors president Mark Reuss. &ldquo;Fielding seven cars at Le Mans reflects not only our competitive ambition, but our relentless drive to advance endurance, innovation and performance on a global stage.&rdquo;

<h2>Tenth consecutive participation for IDEC Sport</h2>

LMP2 outfit IDEC Sport will be on the 24 Hours of Le Mans grid for the tenth year in a row. The #28 Oreca 07-Gibson will be driven by Paul Lafargue and Job van Uitert. With Paul-Loup Chatin moving up to Hypercar with Genesis Magma Racing, the identity of the third driver will be revealed shortly.

Patrice Lafargue, President of IDEC Sport, says: &ldquo;I would like to thank the ACO for considering us once again and including us in the most beautiful peloton in the world. It is always magical to see the team&rsquo;s name on the entry list for this legendary race. Le Mans is legendary. This is our tenth participation and we still feel the same sense of wonder as we did when we first took part. I know that the drivers and staff will give their all, as they always do. We have had some great moments at Le Mans, as well as some big disappointments. But I already know that we will make sure that this 94th edition ends in the best possible way.&rdquo;

Team Principal Nicolas Minassian adds: &ldquo;With Paul (Lafargue) and Job (Van Uitert), we can count on a high-performing duo who know each other very well and have experience at Le Mans. The LMP2 category is very competitive. It&rsquo;s up to us to do what we do best and remain humble in the face of the formidable challenge that this circuit represents.&rdquo;

Last year, IDEC Sport were forced to retire after losing a wheel that resulted in a crash.

LMP2 stalwarts United Autosports will field two Oreca 07-Gibsons this year. Following in the footsteps of IDEC Sport, 2026 will see the team&rsquo;s tenth consecutive appearance!

A third class victory after the 2020 and 2024 wins will obviously be the aim. &ldquo;We are delighted to be back at motorsport&rsquo;s most iconic race,&rdquo; says United Autosports CEO Richard Dean. &ldquo;Getting the nod from the ACO is excellent news and more significant than ever. Taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans just once is a feat in itself, but this will be our tenth appearance &ndash; a huge success for the team. It was essential to guarantee our entries this year with a view to 2027 with the McLaren Hypercar. Preparing the 24 Hours is a real team effort and we are well under way!&rdquo;

The #22 Oreca will be driven by Daniel Schneider, Oliver Jarvis and Ben Hanley. It was with this number that United Autosports secured its Le Mans wins. Mikkel Jensen, Rasmus Lindh and Gr&eacute;goire Saucy will share the wheel of the #222 car. Jensen, announced in January as <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/mclaren-racing-announces-its-first-hypercar-driver-60219" target="_blank">the first driver on the McLaren Hypercar programme</a>, says: &ldquo;(I&#39;m) very excited to be doing Le Mans in the LMP2 with United Autosports this year. I did my Le Mans debut in 2020 in a LMP2 and the Oreca 07 is a pleasure to drive around the famous circuit. I can&rsquo;t wait to take on the challenge with my co-drivers, for the biggest race of the year. Nothing beats Le Mans, both on and off the track!&rdquo;

<h2>TF Sport&rsquo;s four-pronged attack</h2>

British outfit TF Sport will field four cars: three in the LMGT3 class and one LMP2. 
The&nbsp;<a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/tf-sports-corvette-z06-gt3-r-liveries-60295" target="_blank">two Corvette Z06 GT3.R</a>s,&nbsp;full-season FIA WEC entries in 2026, will be gunning for another great result at Le Mans. The #33 Corvette will be driven by Ben Keating, Jonny Edgar and Nicky Catsburg while Peter Dempsey, Salih Yolu&ccedil; and Charlie Eastwood will share the wheel of the #34, fielded under the Racing Team Turkey by TF banner.

These two cars will not be the only Corvettes entered by TF Sport. Their 2025 European Le Mans Series title rewarded the team with an invitation to enter a third Z06 GT3.R. This car, #2, will see the key members of Johor Motorsport Racing join forces with TF Sport&rsquo;s technical staff. Prince Jefri Ibrahim, Afiq Ikhwan and Ben Green will take turns at the wheel.

AO by TF will undoubtedly be looking to repeat its 2025 LMP2 Pro/Am win and scoop a third successive podium in the LMP2 class. The #199 Oreca 07-Gibson will be driven by PJ Hyett, Louis Del&eacute;traz and Dane Cameron. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s fantastic to be able to head back to the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the same programme and drivers that we won the race with in 2025,&rdquo; says AO Racing Team Principal Gunnar Jeannette. &ldquo;PJ, Dane, and Louis are all very eager to see if they can make it two in a row!&rdquo;

The entry list for the 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June 2026), round 4 of the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship was published earlier this week. We’ve crunched the numbers for you!

<h2>62</h2>

The 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has a full grid of 62 cars ready to take up the challenge of the marathon race on 13-14 June. The field comprises: Eighteen cars are entered in the Hypercar class, 19 in LMP2 and 25 in LMGTE. There are nine teams on the reserve list.

<h2>44</h2>

The number of cars shod with Goodyear tyres. All of them are in the LMP2 and LMGT3 classes. The entire Hypercar class is shod with Michelin tyres from the <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/michelin-designs-a-greener-more-durable-hypercar-tyre-for-2026-59712" target="_blank">Pilot Sport Endurance 2026</a> range, which comprises 50% recycled and renewable materials.

Sixteen of the Hypercars have a hybrid engine system combining internal combustion with electric propulsion to optimise energy efficiency and performance. For manufacturers the 24 Hours of Le Mans remains an outstanding testing ground.

The number of team nationalities. The most strongly represented nation is France with eight teams, ahead of the USA (six), Great Britain (five) and Italy (four).

The number of manufacturers fielding a car in the 94th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. In the Hypercar class: Aston Martin, Alpine, BMW, Cadillac, Ferrari, Genesis, Peugeot and Toyota. Two women are slated to take the wheel this year. Doriane Pin, 2025 F1 Academy champion will be in the cockpit of the Duqueine Team #30 Oreca 07-Gibson for her second Le Mans. The first was in 2023, in LMP2 with Prema Racing. Lilou Wadoux will be driving the #150 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo fielded by Richard Mille AF Corse in LMGT3. This will be her fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans (10-14 June) promises a weekend of suspense. See below for the list of 62 cars entered for the next edition of the famous French race, round 4 of the FIA World Endurance Championship. As usual, the list comprises a host of well-known brands and talented drivers.

<h2>A newcomer</h2>

There is a new name in the Hypercar class this year. South Korean manufacturer Genesis joins the line-up and means business! The major-league driver crews of the two <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/genesis-takes-the-wraps-of-its-gmr-001-hypercar-59196" target="_blank">GMR-001-Hypercars </a>entered by Genesis Magma Racing are both experienced and talented. Three-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (2011, 2012 and 2014) Andr&eacute; Lotterer is teamed with Luis Felipe &ldquo;Pipo&rdquo; Derani and promising young driver Mathys Jaubert at the wheel of the #17. The #19 sister car will be in the hands of Paul-Loup Chatin, Mathieu Jaminet and Daniel Juncadella. Together, the three boast 17 Le Mans starts. The South Korean candidate is not to be underestimated.

<h2>A reworked Toyota Hypercar</h2>

Expert onlookers will be scrutinising the new <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/toyota-racing-introduces-the-tr010-hybrid-hypercar-60199" target="_blank">Toyota TR010 Hybrid</a> this June. The Japanese manufacturer has decided to update the 5-year-old prototype that won Le Mans in 2021 and 2022 and dominate the 18-car category once more. Toyota Racing can count on its experienced Le Mans drivers S&eacute;bastien Buemi (four-time winner) and Brendon Hartley (three-time winner).

<h2>The return of Pocket Rocket Doriane Pin and Lilou Wadoux</h2>

Rising French star Doriane Pin, nicknamed the Pocket Rocket, is back at Le Mans this year. She is once again in the LMP2 class, this time at the wheel of the Duqueine Team Oreca 07 &ndash; Gibson. Since her first Le Mans in 2023 she has triumphed in the F1 Academy, having come second in 2024, and made a name for herself on world circuits. She recently joined Mercedes-AMG as the team&rsquo;s Formula One development driver. Her talent will no doubt make her the centre of attention. Another Frenchwoman, <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/lilou-wadoux-to-continue-her-journey-with-ferrari-60218" target="_blank">Lilou Wadoux</a> is set to compete in her fourth 24 Hours of Le Mans, having recently prolonged her contract with Ferrari.&nbsp;

<h2>Another close contest!</h2>

The GT field at Le Mans is well-known for its palpitating chases and the LMGT3 class introduced in 2024 continues to produce epic battles. Last year, six of the eight championship rounds were won by a different team and at Le Mans the first four cars finished in the same lap. With nine makes entered this year, it is safe to bet on another exciting race in LMGT3. The driver line-up includes stars such as 2021 Le Mans winner Jos&eacute; Mar&iacute;a L&oacute;pez in the Akkodis ASP Team #87 Lexus, and Richard Lietz at the wheel of team The Bend Manthey&rsquo;s #92&nbsp;Porsche for his 20th Le Mans.

<h2>The younger generation is coming through</h2>

This year&rsquo;s driver line-up includes several young hopefuls. Several come from Formula One and Formula Two. Alpine Endurance Team has picked 2022 Formula Three winner <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/alpine-endurance-team-hires-victor-martins-60211" target="_blank">Victor Martins</a>, who also won a Formula Two race last year. Equally talented, 2023 Formula Two champion <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/peugeot-picks-pourchaire-for-2026-hypercar-seat-59951" target="_blank">Th&eacute;o Pourchaire</a> is a member of the Peugeot TotalEnergies team. Logan Sargeant takes his Formula One experience to Proton Competition in the LMGT3 class, in preparation for the <a href="https://www.24h-lemans.com/en/news/ford-racing-has-announced-details-of-its-hypercar-programme-60229" target="_blank">Ford Hypercar entry</a>. All three men are under 28 and likely to be part of the face of endurance racing in the near future.

<h2>Unbearable suspense in LMP2</h2>

LMP2 always has its fair share of surprises. In the past few years, the race has gone to the wire. The first two cars finished in the same lap once again last year and the top nine crossed the line within three laps. This year the successful European Le Mans Series team Panis Racing is a serious contender once again. However, with two wins since 2023, Inter Europol Competition will put up a fight, as will AO by TF who can count on the speedy Louis Del&eacute;traz. Another notable entry is that of RD Limited, recently formed by Romain Dumas, who has two 24 Hours of Le Mans wins to his name (2010 and 2016). He will be back in the cockpit for the first time since 2023. All in all, this year&rsquo;s field promises another exciting race.
